Trailer wiring

Ok figured I would try here first. Finally got my new trailer wiring. All i have to do is get the wires done and I can take it in for a plate. Heres the problem. I got both blinkers, and marker lights. No matter what I do i can not get brake lights to work. green wire right blink, brown wire marker. yellow left blink brown marker. From what i remeber about trailer lights is the green and yellow lights are for blinker, and brake. Am i wrong?, anyone else ever had issues with this?

You need a trailer wiring converter. A 5 way to 4 way conversion kit is available at most auto parts stores. Simple fix.

Yep all you need is a taillight converter. Stay away from the Hoppy brand though.

I had a similar problem when installing mine, if not the same one. I cant really remember lol.

I picked up mine at TruckSmart.

We use the stuff from curt mfg. In the shop. Only ones we have had good luck with. We install about 10 per week.
Does your trailer have brakes? You may need a brake controller too.

Walmart has 5 to 4 wire converters under $15. Works good for me for couple of years already.
