Have a 2004 GC Laredo 2wd 4.0----I got the hitch on the car---I need help with the electrical---Has anyone used the plug/play kits that have a T that goes into your harness----Where is the plug in----In the harness located----Would it be on the rear drivers side or paaenger side----Thanks

It's usually behind the driver-side tail light, inside the rear side panel.

It would be easier to use a factory harness if you can find one. Poke around the boneyards - they are often still in the vehicle. They are pretty much plug and play and come with the grommet for the floor. Downside is they are designed for the factory seven-pin socket. Here is the pin-out if you want to use something else:
