Trail run 6-26

I'd like to show a little used through trail up Lefthand near Ward to you guys. The hard spots are maybe rated an 8 out of 10 with Carnage being rated 10++. The first obstacle is the hardest. There's a 30 degree side hill, narrow lose ledge area, and it's overgrown in some places(Paint scratchs). There's also a steep play area (former throuh trail) that's closed at the top. There are a couple of other trails near by (Camp Dick, Miller Rock)that could be added to make it a long day. Someone riped-up the trail at the top last week trying to close it. The Forest Service has posted signs in the area warning of the elegal acts and asking for information about thows involved. Is anyone game?

got some things to do to the jeep first though.

I wish I could go to the pre-run but I work Saturday and don't get off till 7am Sunday morning.

That trail is more torn up this year. I couldn't get up with out a strap when i was on to about two months ago. If this is the same trail that we went and did last year.

The trail ends up on Goldlake Road after leaving Lefthand Canyon. There is a bypass for the big sidehill but you miss alot of trail. There's 2 log cabins along the way, and a small stream crossing.

Sunday's on if anyone wants to go. Nada on this Saturday, gata work. I work the next 2 Saturdays also. Coni Creek is a long bumpy trail but there's lots of water up there right now.

Sounds like Old Jamestown Road. Go west into Jamestown and make a left at the post office? It end up at Gold lake...Gold Lake Resort right? If that's it that was the first trail I ever wheeled. The Forsest service closed it a few years back, it's nice to hear it's open again. I might go if it's Sunday.

It's not out of James Canyon, it's out of Lefthand Near Ward. I know the road up james creek is closed.The road we'll go on ends on the southwest side of goldlake resort.

How's 10am at Buckingham Park sound. The parking area is about 1 mile up Lefthand on the right just before Old Stage Rd.
