Trail Rig Wanted

A bunch of friends and I are looking for a project vehicle. It’s going to be a pure trail rig so it doesn’t have to be anything fancy or legal on the roads. All we’re looking for is something with a good frame/unibody, axles, working transfer case (meaning working 4wd), transmission (prefer a standard), and an engine that is running good/strong. Everything else, body work, flares, glass, rust doesn’t matter too much. We’re looking to spend less than $500 for the rig (I know it’s a stretch on the price while trying to get a good drive train). If anyone knows of somebody selling/looking to get rid of something that suits this please let me know!

I know this is a stretch but if you want an 85 2.8v6 auto come and get it for 100 bucks, no title or bumpers or grille but drivetrain is excellent. Some other parts are missing but heck, for a hundred bucks, it might be what you're looking for. I know there are some cough cough performance parts like headers and cams for the 2.8.

a buddy of mine has a late 80's or early early 90's 2dr XJ. its a 4.0L and a stick, 4WD. the only problems is that it needs a new slave cyliner for the clutch, one of the UCA has a bolt broken off, and the drivers floor pan its almost gone. i dont have any pics but if ur interested i ca nget some. he wants $400 and its located in foxboro, MA.

hey i got a 88 four door cherokee. its got a rebuilt 4.0 auto 4x4. its pretty rusty. but would make an awesome trail rig!. the engins got lots of balls. and it needs minor things like a brake drum and a charging on the battery, to drive around in the woods. im in monson mass. pm me. ill sell this baby cheap!
