Trade: 231 for 242

I have a 231 out of an 89 that I replaced with one that had a syo. I am thinking about putting a 242 in my '00 daily driver to eat up imports, mostly just my buddy with an impreza . So having the 23 spline input would be a plus. Trade my 231 for a 242?
