track bar question...

My track bar's in bad shape and I'm at +1.5 and rising. I'd like an adjustable replacement, but cheap is good too!

so my question is: Can I weld a threaded pipe to a cut-down stock bar and screw in a TRE or am i crazy??

i don't know man your tack bar is what keeps your axle from moving around under the jeep. if for any reason it brakes and your driving down the road hope your holding on tight, beacuse your going for a RIDE.

granted I'll need to beef the heck out of the welds to do this, what i was really looking for was examples if anyone has done this and ideas on how long the TRE might last in this application. Any takers???
