Towing with Gas

friend of mine towed with a chevy caprice with a 5.7 and later a grand cherokee with a 4.8

i bet all of the trucks listed will tow better than those 2.

and he didnt have any complaints about either tow rig.

and it was hilarious seeing a caprice tow a one ton comanche on 39's

Seeing the caprice tow the MJ was hilarious! Seeing the pic of them doing 100mph with the trailer attached(no MJ) was better.

i tried finding a pic of it, but came up empty handed. i know they exist

Get serious with yourselves.
Regardless of what you tow with: 10-15 mpg is what you'll see towing 5000+lbs.
It's not a little econobox car with great aerodynamics and a tiny motor.
It's 10k+ lbs going down the road.

Almost any tow rig, rated to do the job is infinitely better than driving the Jeep long distances
You're going to get better mileage and it's a lot more comfortable than driving the Jeep 400 miles just to stress about breaking it and fixing it in on the trail so you can drive home.

Ive got a dodge V10 and i love it.
The earlier years had some troubles but they fixed it in 97 i believe.
Dad has a 5.7 hemi and it pulls very good for a 1/2 ton.
ther chevy 6.0l has been well known for lasting 300k though.
