Too bad it's a Ford. Not that I'm looking for a tow truck - just too bad it's a Ford.. :eeks1:

LOL.. I'M JUST KIDDING Paul. I'm not a Ford hater . I had a a '65 Mustang and a '64 Falcon at different times.. :lickout:

I guess I've kinda leaned toward chevys but theres something about a Ford truck that just feels real solid. I drove a 2004 F-550 diesel (short wheel base eagle claw) as a tow truck for a while and that thing just kicked ass. It handled the hills of Bel Air/Mulholland like a Porsche. Just after 2003 they changed something in the turbo that jacked up the motor, mine finally gave out after I left the company. I've heard nothing but good things from owners that have had 85-86 F-250's except for the gas guzzling factor. For the short time I've had it it's been nothing but a solid truck. I really don't want to sell it but its this or a 90 2500 4x4 suburban I got  . I got too many vehicles and the wife is nagging 'bout the house looking like a junkyard. Plus he burb is fuel injected and only has 40K orig miles on it and I can carry the family in it, so it won the coin toss.
