Tow/protection question

Before I start trying to break bolts free, can someone tell me...can you install a front mounted (Hidden Hitch) hitch on a 1990 XJ that has a factory front skid plate? It doesn't look like it would be compatible. It looks like a one or the other situation.

i remember reading somewhere that you can not add a front hitch with any xj skid plate

i just dont see how it would fit without some trimming of the factory front skid plate.
