tow point inserted in hitch??

It's gonna be tight muddy trails. So most likely i'll have to be pulled from the front. I'm not gonna pull from the front bumper. The previous owner did that and there's a crack in the bumper mount. So i'm either gonna have to figure something or not go.

After hearing the debate I think i'll go w/ the majority and get a shackle insert. I like the warn insert picture from lisk98xj. Thanks all for the help in making the right decision. Its nice to have so much response. Always appreciated. THE PEAFMAN

found here:

or these:

or this:

if you absolutely have to - the front axle can take a light tug - no shockloading please! (unless you take pictures)

or look into a custom front bumper using these:

to mount to the frame in adition to the stock bumper bolts.

Can this item be purchased at advanced or autozone? If not can you provide a link where I can find one?
thanks,
HT

Also forgot to ask if a 2" strap loop with fit in the ring? It looks small in the photo as if designed to be used with a strap with hooks.

Blah, blah, blah. Bill Burke even recommends just using the hitch pin for receivers. I'm not saying he's god or anything, but he definitely knows his shite.

I got mine at Tractor Supply but i dont know if they have the warn ones anymore, and yes it will fit a 2" strap, in fact you can fit both ends of a 2" strap in it
