tow hooks? Help!!!!

Look at the tomken tow plate that goes between the two frame rails, Has provisions for mounting tow bar but can also be used as tow point with shackles. The other option is the front receiver and another option a front bumper with D ring mounts but thats going to run about $300 for that.

DO NOT USE THIS FOR TOW HOOKS!

The Tomken tow plate is specifically intended for towing an XJ on pavement behind a motor home. It is not heavy duty enough to use safely for extraction. If you read the fine print, the version of it with the front receiver specifies that it is a light duty receiver.

This is what I made: It wont work with stock front bumper... The hook is mounted just below the tube on the drivers side using this plate bolted to the outside of the frame rail. It works for me, because of my high clearance bumper.
