Sorry to post a chebby question here but it seems all they wanna talk about on chebby blazer forums is dropping &other stuff(that's all useless to me)...

Here's my question:
I'm going to need to tow my Blazer about 130 miles and somebody offered to lend me a tow-bar, does anybody know if I could fit a Tow-bar on an S10 Blazer, and if not would it work if I took the bumper off? Also could I just use a trailer wiring harness and hard-wire it to the lights on the Blazer?

Thanks for the help

Depends on the towbar. Some temporary ones I've seen chain to the bumper. Don't have any experience with those but htey lool kind of scary. If its one that uses bolt on brackets, then yes, if you can get the brackets, and the bumper is strong enough to mount them to, it works great. As far as the wiring, if your going to do this just as a temporary thing just get some magnet mount lights that plug into the trailer harness of the tow rig. If you want it permanant, you can hardwire it but its not easy. I did my TJ so that all the parking lights and the rear brake/turn signals function when plugged into the tow rig. But it involved some intricate splicing and a couple diodes to keep from backfeeding current through both the Jeep and the tow rigs lights.
