tornado

get a throttle body spacer.

Will the tornado work in conjunction with the K&N FIPK? If so, feedback?

well...yeah, but just don't do it. If you have it, get rid of it. The Tornado is someone's brilliant idea that resulted in millions of satisfied customers...who have poorly calibrated butt-dynos.

For those of you who are currantly running the "tornado" in your vehicles, I have developed a set of low-friction muffler bearings that work well in increasing exhaust flow when used with that product. If you'd like to try them I'd be happy to send you a set for a slight fee of course...I also have some oceanfront property in Arizona that I can sell fairly cheap...:looser:

:wstupid:
also placing 6 nuts(one for each cylinder) in your intake will help you save on gas:explosion

Just make sure that they are torqued correctly to see the full benefits:doh:

Don't forget to clamp a big magnet around your fuel line, it helps align the microscopic particles in the fuel and make it burn more efficiently, resulting in more power and better fuel mileage....

:rof:

No not a magnet, you mean torch don't ya :D

What I want to know is how you fit 3 guys in the engine compartment, it's got to be pretty crowded around the TB.

Running the fuel lines through a freezer would be the best way to increase power, a colder denser fuel charge is even better than a colder denser air charge..... Speaking of which why do they make cold air intakes out of aluminum, it will absorb engine compartment faster than almost any other material.

When I saw the Tornato advertize I thought to myself " How is putting a air flow obstruction in my line going to help with power and fuel mileage"
Maybe if someone can figure out how make it spin really fast...it would be like a little supercharger...LOL

the computer will meter out the amount of fuel needed for a specific a/f ratio depending on how much air is allowed into the engine by the throttle body. Colder, denser fuel charge will make no difference.

Most of the responses are amusing.

To be honest, the concept of the tornado is not all bad. And in some applications (most likely older, porly designed intake systems, probably with a carb) I bet it might even make a positive difference.

" How is putting a air flow obstruction in my line going to help with power and fuel mileage"
There are many applications where it makes a very large improvement actually!!

The poster asked a valid question and was looking for feedback. I assume since you all posted negatively about it, you must have already tried it?

My uneducated opinion is that it probably wouldn't be of any noticeable help in a XJ intake system.

I'll put it this way......the key to selling anything is to make people want to buy it.....in the case of an engine gizmo....improved fuel economy is right there at the top of the list....if you cleverly market a product, it will sell. Packaging and promotion....

Put another way....Years ago in the Dallas area, dimestore cowboys were having trouble coming across with the ladies as "authentic" because their boots were all shiny and clean.....some enterprising individual came up with the idea of packaging fresh cow pies and selling them in western wear stores so the wannabe cowboys could rub some on their boots....the dude got RICH before the fad wore off. (This is a TRUE story)

Anyway...there is a definate similarity to the two if you get my meaning ;)
