I had great results with an electric 4" angle grinder and cutoff wheel. A flap wheel smoothed the rough edges.
Took the plunge. Finally cut my fenders.

not if you pick the right blade and speed. I used a jig saw on mine. Taylor (the white one on the last page) followed my lines at mine. it came out perfect, no fender warping and no paint burnt. be sure to use a fine blade and plenty of lube. i finished it with an 80 grit sander wheel on the angle grinder after. it looks factory. the key is the lasers (my jigsaw has a laser lol) oh yea, and beer.

I used the HF air saw and blue tape as a guide! Came out nice straight and then clean up with a fine flapper wheel.

I couldn't get my 10'' Dewalt miter saw to unbolt from the stand so a 7 1/4'' circular saw worked for me! I like the 45* cuts, it kinda goes with today's box style designed automobiles!!
Are the tires still rubbing? What size tires are you running?
Maybe proper bump stops are in order.

Here's how mine came out, with a jigsaw. cuts came out fine. i finished it with a flap disk on the angle grinder. no rubbing, 36" swampers.
no burnt paint, no bent, jumping fenders, the jeep didnt fall into itself when the doors were taken off. be sure to use LUBE and masking tape when cutting and take your time.
