I was wondering what the largest tires you can put under a stock xj limited without rubbing. I was looking at the a/t ko 235s would there be any rubbing.

Should be fine with 235's since they are listed in the Owners Manual

I have a set of 30x9.5's that came off of a Wrangler with the 8" Canyon wheels.

Never had a rubbing problem on my '97.

I had that exact same set up that you are thinking w/ the AT KO's on a '95 that I previously owned with no problems. I now have Mickey Thompson 30-9.5-15 Baja Belted on a stock suspension and get rubbing on the lower control arms at full left lock.
