Bump stop length

Hello fellow xj owners, I recently lifted my Jeep (6.5 in long arm on 33x12.5 tires). it flexed up into the fenders pretty hard and they are as cut as they can be. What size bump stops should I get in the rear to prevent rubbing when I flex out ? I’m just gonna put hockey pucks up front.

You need to flex it up and measure! Do you have the shocks sized correctly?

Ive been wanting to do some 2.5 air bumps on mine. Kinda secondary tunable shock on compression. Can mount it in tube so its adjustable up and down a few inches.

Assuming cheap poly stops: flex until the fender is about to kiss tire. Measure distance between the stop pad and the mount. Add min. 1/2" for smoosh.

If running something fancier, you'd need to determine how much the stop smooshes and add that to your measurement.

Pretty sure I have the Daystar extended high impact bumps on the rear of my XJ but I don't think I get into them often. I know I haven't rubbed on the rear fender at all.

You wont regret it. don't go over 2.5" if your using a bump pad off the top of the leaf springs. I tried 4" but ended going down to 2.5" I went with drilling a hole thru the frame where the stock bump stop was and mounting the cans inside the unibody. Later i made can mounts that bolt to the bottom and side of the unibody. Never ended up using them.
