Time to Decide, to Keep XJ or not keep XJ

That you have to "restore" a 15 year old Nissan says something as well... this whole deal sounds a little foolish. If status is that important, buy only new cars. If the vehicle itself matters, buy what you like to drive. If you have to ask complete strangers what cars you should own/drive to please someone else... you're in a bad way.

hubs97xj, Why so offensive? What did I ever do to you?

For all the other folks out there who've had helpful and encouraging comments, I thank you. I've decided that I enjoy tinkering with it and I'm gonna fix it up. I figure for a few grand I can have a nice XJ and I'll be better off than buying another one that I don't know.

I don't mean to be offensive, Dan. All I'm sayin is that if you like your Jeep, and it does everything you want it to, and you like working on it, you've already got the Jeep you want. But, you already realized this. Keep it! (and/or maybe buy another for parts)
