this forum is overly dull

All of this this Texas bashing reminds me of something I read on a bathroom wall many years ago:

"Here I sit, buns a flexin',
giving birth to another Texan"

In all honesty, Texas is one of the few places I would consider living. I would fit right in with the 'radical' right wingers.

Let me ask a question about your 'mountains'.. can you do winter sports in 'em? Ski, board, etc. Cause if not, they're not really mountains.

Why yes, people DO ski abd snowboard on those mountians. Like I said, the mountians in Texas are MUCH older than the ones in CO. That also means they are smaller due to the elements and other factors like that.

Wow "mountain" ranges that are from 5000 to 7500 feet. No wonder flores was pissing his pants when we went up to Jenny Creek.:laugh2:

He did that when he hit the main trail at BMRA. And thats nothing more than a dirt road on top of a strip mined mountain.

We were barely into the canyon leaving Boulder on the way to Jenny Creek, and all the sudden we hear on the CB " wow you guys are kidding around with these mountains" then once we hit the trail he was hugging the inside so bad I thought he was going to rip his mirror right off.

Wonder what would happen if we took him over Black Bear?

I'm too torn on which side of the argument to fall on. I'm always gonna be that country boy from Texas, that's a given. Having lived in CO though, it's not all that bad a place. My family is here but all their debit cards still say Coors Credit Union on them. btw...that goes over great at the beer stores here. Which brings us to beer....Sure I was weened on the Silver Bullet, but thankfully I found my Lone Star roots and became a Shiner Man. If I'm not drinkin Shiner, my inner Messican is shining through drinking my XX.

Flores...These CO guys have no clue how much more interesting wheeling can be until you wheel up onto an East TX Meth Super Lab. =) That will put hair on your azz!

I do miss Lake City and the surrounding areas. Still vacation there. Went to high school southwest of Denver in Bailey at Platte Canyon. Hope to move back that way some day. I will be hitting Colorado Springs very soon. Still torn on wether to take the Jeep or grab a flight.

Older?

What do you think Us Coloraden's have just been pushing dirty into a big pile for the last 10,000 years?

Smaller and more worn down a mountian range is means that they are older. Like the Appalachian Mountains are MUCH older than any other mountains in the US. That is why they are the smallest. See I did learn something in elementry school. Too bad it wasn't spelling.
