Well then u kno how sucky the whole non walking sceanrio is huh? Did u flip out sometimes because you couldnt walk because i just remmeber trying to get my legs to move and they wouldnt...17 years of walking and suddenly ur in a chair its a little weird

My head went through the bullet proof windshield of one of the military A2 HUMVEE's a few years ago when my buddy decided to drive into a huge hole while I was reading a map. It actually didn't hurt, and for any of you military guys out there, no I didn't have a kevlar helmet on!

another pretty bad one is when you are driving home and you hear some tires screeching and you hear a thud. then you see a dog come flying at you and you end up running it over with 1 ton 15 passenger van.

Then you get out to see that the dog you just helped kill was you roomates and then you see your dog sitting on the sidewalk watching.

the thud was the bad part. i was on the phone and the person on the line heard me hit her.

well i cant run, bike or walk up a flight of stairs very well but im getting there...

and u really just sat there and never felt pissed u couldnt walk?

I was so saddened by it..my life was staring to get better from a downward slump and i was senior in HS then boom that sh** happened

ur a good man then i had issues with not being able to feel my legs left arm or head...

Hypoid...just today I was trying to teach my kids the difficult concept of density. I have found that SPED students can relate to density when poop enters the discussion. We talk about turds and how some float and others sink and tie that into density. I know that's not precisely what density is but it gets the gist of it across to their wee brains. Making education fun is so key. Funny how poop seems to do just that.

my worst sound was the sound of that friggin chevy hitting my XJ head on...between my horn, and glass shattering it was heart stopping...and then i couldnt hear sh!t...i guess ur head doesnt do much for u when it goes through a window...

sat in the hospitol for two weeks didnt walk for 7months..

kid on the side walk said the sound of me screaming will sit with him forever..

ouch, no paralysis in my case, but just a lot of broken bones(to the point they were coming out of me) then the doc didnt catch a broken hip some how and onset arthritis then a replacemnet blah blah blah, somehow you just get use to it pretty quick and try not to think about it too much.

funny that happened to the kid who was in the car with me... he walked around on it for three days after they told him he was fine untill he callopsed one day in school they brought him in to the ER and did surgery the next day...
he ended up with the bad left leg and my right leg was pretty much destroyed so people make some funny jokes about our limps

Speaking of droppin' a deuce at work...

I can't do it man. I'm not exactly quiet when I'm doing that. No grunting but I've earned the nickname "trumpet butt". There's no buffer zone in school. They build those damn bathrooms to actually accentuate the noise. This week I had to run back home twice to get the home field advantage. Love seeing the dog tilt the head as I work my magic in the other room.

worst sound ever is being in the back yard with my 3.5 yo daughter by the pool and turning around and your wife walks in the house thinking you have your eye on the girl and you know she has her eye on her and you hear a splash and the laughter goes silent............. .05 seconds across the yard, down a hill and over the top of the pool and not geting wet till you reach the far end of a half olimpic pool and you are grabing you baby out of the water!!

best sound in the world........................... her laughing again cause she got wet!! ( thank God )

yeah i went around 3 months, well went around is a stretch, laid around. even after the fuggers took a good dozen x rays. Considering my tibia and fibia was coming out the side of my leg, you would think they would check the rest. it was 3 years(after hip replacement) before i could go long distances, stairs, hell even uphill.

I have a new worst sound you never want to hear. Try welding upside down under your rig. Picture a piece of hot slag falling, hitting your ear, bouncing once, then starting to spiral down your ear canal, all the time you hear this sickening sizzling sound as it goes around and around.

Damn, I didn't know this old body could move so fast.

Yeah riverfever I know the wavelength issues, my twin step-sons were 3 mos early, one shaken by a babysitter at 2 yrs. my bionics consist of a metal plate in my head, a metal rod for a femur, part of a metal hip, some sort of metal in my knee, a bunch of screws and pins to hold it all together

doc told me it takes 10000lbs of pressure to crack ur femur..now i dunno if its tru but i completly shattered mine
