"The Walking Dead" on AMC

So who else was yelling at the tv for him to turn around????? UGH! Interesting episode. Seemed to be like his life was flashing before his eyes...... I like it.

Yea but it looks like they are using the same kind of formulae. Things start out as a good idea and go downhill fast...... :dunce:
 
I skipped watching TWD for the past couple of years, too much talk, took a try on this episode and a couple of the reruns leading into it and was very good.

Better Call Saul was intriguing. Great seeing some of the supporting characters in it
 
Last night i watched from 2 sides of the fence. I thought the way they did the episode was pretty cool and a different style. i liked the radio talk and the characters coming back. with all that said, i felt that tyrese was invaluable and thought it was werid they made such an ordeal of him getting the bite.
it would make sense to play the arm chopping game if they hadn't already did that with Hershels leg. but they showed us that craziness already. maybe to show us it wont always work?

meh, the episode was cool to watch but i just didn't care that he was a goner.
 
We are only on season two, they just found the prison.
I have to say, they would not make it in a real "survival situation".
They waste too much ammo, they leave themselves wide open to attack all of the time, and they make pretty dumb decisions.
They should always have the driver of the car in the driver's seat, ready to bail whenever they leave their compound.
Why did they abandon the farm permanently?
Once the walkers had moved on, they could have very easily moved back in, I think they could have stayed in the basement for a few days and rode it out.
I know I am a long way behind, but it is still pretty entertaining and we plan to continue watching, I could use it as a "Do not do this" video in a survival class.
 
I read a lot of apocalyptic end times books. I don't care what brings on the event. Zombies, plague, solar flare. One thing that always makes a good story in my eyes is when it's just an average every day joe who screws up and has to learn by his mistakes. If we were to ever really experience an event like that I think the dummy surviving purely on stupid luck is just as or maybe more likely to survive than the full on doomsday prepper who has been training his whole life. I actually like that about the show. They are just people who didn't know shit about how to survive and they screw up. Makes it more real. As real as a zombie show can be anyway.

Yea have said many times, the full on doomsday prepper hauling ass to his bunker, ready for anything, going to survive for years to come, get t-boned by a semi who didnt see him lol. meanwhile, joe nothing finds the bunker and lives.
 
I have been a prepper my whole adult life. Not to the extent of the idiots on the show, but I have always lived in such a way that I could go a week "off the grid" if necessary. I used to teach survival classes in the 90's
The Y2K thing was pretty big. I have seen every post apocalyptic movie ever made. I have found huge holes in Evey single one of them, even Lar does now.
I know I am behind, but WTF do you do with a baby. I told Lar I would have let the both die. Just what a group needs a one legged man and an infant.
