im not sure i dont even know where to start, ive been pulled over twice. for it.

so i was looking into something like this i guess.
building a bracket and wire it thought the swing out and onto my plate.

That license plate would get beat imo. If u want some cheap leds to light up your license plate I have some I can toss your way. Only have to solder to the factory wiring.

im going to move my plate to the other side after i move my tire bar over about 6 inches to drivers side. but yeah it needs to be a bit higher imo also. ive already bent it a couple times playing in some hills.

Yeah your plate is hanging low. I'd relocate that onto the hatch. Or make a braket that moves it higher. I hit mine on the rubicon and almost tore it off. As far as lighting you should take 831xj up on some led lights and just solder then to the existing license plate wiring harness.

An old trick is to use license plate mounting bolts with integrated lights. Google search found these, don't know anything about the website so you might find a better or cheaper source somewhere else.

Picked up 2x6" .188 wall box tubing today, with .188 plate to cap the ends for $80. Rocker replacement happening this weekend!

Started the 2x6" rocker replacement.

Big thanks to Pat for letting me work in his Dad's warehouse, and to both Mike and Pat for helping me when needed.

Hopefully I can wrap this project up this afternoon.

Huge thanks to Tim for helping me get at least one side welded on today! Ended up still having to trim my doors back 1/2" to make them clear my new rocker height. Also did the doorless mod to all 4 doors while I was at it. Hope to have it all wrapped up by next weekend.

It's surprising just how much work is involved in just replacing even the lower section of rocker. I totally underestimated it and it's kicked my butt! Should be worth it in the end though.

That'll be the next step after my stiffeners go on.

It's 3/16 wall. After cutting and welding they're about 10lbs heavier per side than my old jcr bolt on sliders.

Also learned the hard way not to hit road kill without any doors on... Wake up kitty!!

Stiffeners showed up, 2x6 is all done thanks to Tim and pat. Once the stiffeners go on I can mount up the long arms, belly pan, and fab up my boutsides. Crossing my fingers I'll be ready for Reno.

Found some TNT customs longarms and belly pan for sale on cherokeeforum.

Also ordered some crossover steering with ruffstuff hiems.

Finally got my stiffeners installed for the most part. They still need to be finish welded.
