Its crazy the things we can do. How we were able to drill all the way to them and build something to send down a 26" tube that we built. Just plain amazing what tech. can help us do.

Amazing, just simply amazing. What a professional group of folks that pulled this off. I don't care where they are from, they did a damn good job. The miners, what a bunch of tough men to endure that time the way they did. Congrats to all that had a part.
I live in a place that is deep in mining. My Father worked the mines, my best man works the mines, many friends and other family work the mines. My job is dependant on the coal mines. This hit home for me.

Yeah, that was pretty interesting to watch. Some of those guys were packed into that capsule like a sardine.......... I saw several hefty miners down there from the live feed in the mine............ Heh heh, I guess 69 days wasn't enough time to slim down to fit into that 21" capsule........ 
Pretty cool that our CO company got the nod to come do the drilling. I guess they were in Afghanistan drilling water wells when they got the call.
Given the fact that being a miner in Chile is about the highest paying job available........ I imagine the majority of those miners will return to work........ dunno that I could. I imagine with all the world's attention on this event..... Chile will be reevaluating some processes, policies and safety measures.

Being a retired coal miner from Colorado, near Craig, I have nothing but respect for all involved in this miracle rescue. Everyone is a hero!
