Stefan - sent you a PM about your roof.

I very much doubt your existing rafters are going to cut it with the collar tie forces added to them. Plan on at least sistering up like every third rafter and putting a double member collar tie at those locations. And nailing in-lieu of bolting would be better in this scenario.

Get me the additional info in my PM and i'll crunch the numbers to get you a better answer.

And anyone who says you can't weld steel to aluminum has never tried to get the cams out of a subaru motor that was run with no oil :gee:

Yea according to that link I need r38. The most I can fit in a 2x8.is r30 that will give me r27 under compression. So I may be at a stand still on this.

I got hit by a range rover and smashed the shit out of the passenger side doors. Car is totally fine except for the doors so it's an easy door swap but if I fixed it it would still be a dodge stratus. Going to buy a subaru brat or old datsun pickup and daily drive that instead. Just don't want two shitty trucks.
