THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Question:

What pressure & flow rate are the high end power steering pumps that get used for full hydro like fork lift orbitals & similar?

I'm dreaming up a home made log splitter.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Hahaha, let me know if you want another engineer involved to overcomplicate things further.

I am sure you already saw this but TC style pumps seem to put out around 1350-1450psi and around 2 to 3 gpm from what I saw. When I did the numbers I came up with an unacceptably large ram being required and several pumps running in tandem to power it.

... as of today I have two inspected, mass legal cars to my name. Feels weird.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

So apparently I've had a fractured ankle, not sprained ankle, for the past month.

Hey Ken, is that engine and transmission still at your place?

I hadn't seen that. But thanks, good to know. It's close but so far. Could make it work in an Armageddon situation but other than that... Pass.

I've since moved onto kinetic log splitters. If I'm going to make one, it's going to be the best working thing out there. These ****ers run quick. Now I just need some reasonably balanced flywheels and a spare Briggs. This winter's wood will be split the hard way but it sounds like a good winter project.

I'm never going to finish my damn XJ.

Mark, stop being so fragile.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Hopefully ordering new clayton leafs in the next couple days, then need to start banging shit out and getting ready for nacfest since my boss finally gave me the ok for those days off. Just need to register and figure out the camping situation.

Got a big list but hopefully I can get everything done, was really hoping to get a basic cage started before but don't think the funds for a bender will happen in enough time unless I sell all my old shit or something.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

I ordered (and paid) for Clayton 4.5" leaf springs and got back ordered till the middle of May. I regret my decision and wish I was doing links now. I also have a JD bender with 1-5/8" 180* die sitting idle at the moment and won't be needed (except a pair of shock hoops) till the fall.

SUP! Colorado doesn't suck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Stove thread

Going to Vegas for a bachelor party at the end of June, nothing is planned yet. I've never been there before. Anyone do ATV tours out there? I see a place that you can rent a TJ or JK as well and they take you wheeling . . . Anything else that's a must-do?

From what my buddy's have experienced, the ATV/UTV rentals are cooler than the Jeep ones. I actually plan on going to Moab at the tail end of ESJ for mine and renting UTVs.
