Wood stove burn #2 is going better than the first. Unfortunately, I've decided that the stove needs to be rebuilt because it wants to run really hot and that's a sign of leakiness.

On the plus side, I cleaned out the coal stove and that appears to be in great shape.

I'll give you more on that tomorrow, haven't had a chance to really sit down and type a lot lately. There's a lot to it but it looks like your stove should work pretty similarly to mine.

Does a D35 negate red drums?

I'll give you more on that tomorrow, haven't had a chance to really sit down and type a lot lately. There's a lot to it but it looks like your stove should work pretty similarly to mine.

Cool, thanks. I snapped a picture of the cleaned out internals too, if it helps. Basically it's got the chimney/damper at the top back, fire brick tapering down to a cast iron grate with shaker/stirrer thing, ash pan, and adjustable vents on the ash pan door. I've heard that having vents on the ash pan door can lead to clogging but obv no experience with it myself yet.

Bought one for my father after I broke his old craftsman one.

Seems to hold up well so far. He doesn't use it very much anymore though.

The few times I used it for u-joints and whatnot it worked well enough.

I'm sure they're not great castings or whatever, but I rarely find the need to beat on a vise.

I normally just use them for u-joints, pressing in bushings, tap/die stuff when I'm lazy, etc.
