THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Summit/Craftsman backordered the last two wrenches I need to fill in one of my sets until late April. No notice until I called them yesterday, despite ordering 2 weeks ago.

Can't you just find something else of similar size to stick up your butt?

I bought a starret 0-1 1-2 and 2-3 micrometer set new in box for 230 bucks I'm happy. As a bonus I am getting 2 scales and a 0-6 caliper. Yay making smart life choices and not buying jeep parts.

Investing in quality tools is always smart.
Take care of them (ie, don't drop them) and they'll last a lifetime.
I hope that caliper is a man's version. ;)

It is a dial. **** digitals, I have an old school caliper but I generally don't use it unless I'm on the floor. These are going to be my tool work and tenths mics. My micrometers that see time on the eyelet machines are 20 buck spi China specials.

I will admit one of mine is a digital one as well which is nice when I am doing something in metric so I don't have to do the math for the conversion I know what it is instantly. 98% of the time I reach for the dial or vernier.

2 week thing kicked in huh?

Should be a good check with some OT, calling up Andy at Letsroll for some PSC and Artec goodies

Nothing digital resides in my tool box. I dont know how to say it but I am terrible on tools, Im halfway through my eyelet tool making apprenticeship and I am working in the machine shop, so I spend lots of time crawling through 100 ton presses fixing whatever the night shift blew up or whatever we broke by over loading the machines.

FYI, I got better pricing calling direct.
Remember to have them size the stroke of the ram. It doesn't (or at least didn't) cost anything if you do it when originally ordered.

I own a total of 3 Snap-On tools. Two of which were gifts and one I bought.
Veer nice just to much money if I have to buy retail and not off a truck.

My favorite type of morning is when a doctor gets mad that he cannot get to his email by typing "intranet" into the address bar of internet explorer.

Ratchets are the only thing worth buying if you're not using the stuff professionally. Don't get me wrong, all of their stuff is super nice, but some of it can be had other under names from their suppliers, and in a lot of other instances, there's cheaper stuff that's just about as nice. Not that I'm telling you anything you don't know . . .
