THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

I'm planning on getting av garden tractor with snow blower front attachment before our first winter at the new place. So many outdoor projects that I'm pretty sure a small tractor will pay for itself in a short while. The waiting is killing us tho

Moving the truck was super easy, the custom grooving I did on the rollers worked great, so I decided to do some back yard wheeling.

Bought a plasma today, then saw Travis. Winning.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

used or new? what kind?

It's a used hypertherm 380, setup for 110v now, but can be switched to 220v. The guy said he cut 3/8" easy and 1/2" with a little patience, even on 110v, so it should be perfect for my projects. I bought it mostly to cut the frame boxing plates for the '49, doing all those with a grinder would bring the suck, but it should be pretty useful for a lot of things.

That's sweet patch. Plasmas are bitchin.

Any pics of the 49?

It was my grandfathers truck, he traded it to someone when I was a kid and I've been trying to get my hands on it for years. The guy finally contacted me this summer after it sat for 13+ years, and I brought it home right before he passed away. It's pretty rough, there's no bed, it needs floors and probably new fenders, but it's a good starting point. I have some plans for it, remind me next time I see you and I'll bore you with the details.

It has the original flathead V8/3spd combo in it right now, with a Dana 41 or something out back. I'm going to keep the flathead, probably leave it stockish for now, because it turns over and should still run fine. I found an adapter setup to mount a T5 out of a foxbody behind it, which are a dime a dozen and gives me OD, so that will most likely be my choice, and probably an 8.8 out back with a torsen style LS.

can it do burnouts?

The only reason to build a hotrod is to burn dogs and rip donuts.
