THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

wife and I have started looking at houses too. Probably looking to buy within a year

She just found and likes this one

We stopped and looked around the exterior of these. This one has a decent 2 bay garage with a side rollup door to the workshop out back

Needs some work (new deck in the back, refinished front deck, chimney leak repairs)

Jealous of that pricing. I'd have to move a good bit away from the city to see anything like that in MA.

I keep saying this to everyone but everyone insists the city is better.
Fine. Stay away and keep our property prices down!

:D

i would have gotten a place much farther out if it didn't mean that i would be 1hr+ away from either my job or caitlin's job before you factor in traffic

I like that I can choose cool new places to eat (or dozens of other familiar ones), about 15 different beaches, 5 auto parts stores, Target, HF, Home Depot... oh and thats all within a half an hour drive.

Did I mention some of the top performing schools in the country, ethnic and social diversity that matches the real world, and the best arts, film, and music in the WORLD are only a one hour train ride away?

yea, its not too bad when I think about it. :D

I had the same dream then met a girl.

Ross will never have to worry about this as long as he has a face like he has. BOOM!!!!

I have all that covered too.

I'm also glad the second part is an hour train ride away, because that's really the closest I can stand being to most of that bullshit. :)

But then I'd have to get those ugly yellow plates for my truck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

I have all of that stuff within 20 minutes of my house.

And over 2 acres of land.

And well under 300k.

Yeah, I can get that. It's the reason I work were I do and not toward the city. I would do nuts in the traffic. I make less but I also don't sit in any traffic at all and my commute is easy. It may change some day but for now it is nice.

Besides the beaches thing all of that is withing a 45min ride from me now.

In VT none of that is within inside an hour drive and ideally I'd live there. I don't mind not having big box stores and artsy things.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

if we could, we'd all live in colorado or moab with a 5 car garage and get paid to jerk off. it sucks that there isn't any real wheeling where i am but that and the price of everything are my only two complaints about living here. i'd love to move somewhere else but i have a pretty good job and tarah wants to stay close to her family.

i don't mind traffic it use to piss me off i know its going to take me x amount of time to get to work so i build that into my drive then driving i find ways to keep my mind busy, listen to npr, spot expired registrations, have really slow races, or look for company signs so i can see if they are hiring later on. ultimately i would like to get a job in boston, the train is a mile from the house and takes 30 minutes to get to south station
