Thanks to those who have offered or made it over to lend a hand. Should be able to bang out the 3 link next weekend and get it running shortly after... Then it's onto the back half.

seeing some of you guys wheel REALLY makes me want to build my jeep for next year i am definitely starting the search for parts i need to build the tons i wanted to build over the winter had an amazing time

Anthony you're making me wish I kept my XJ, there really isn't much that looks better than a lifted 97+




And then I remember how much nicer my truck is to drive everyday.

Thanks... Yeah, I'm hoping this is "nice" to drive... that's the goal, anyway. Toys shouldn't be painful.

Colin pointed out a mistake... I have the fairlead on top = winch motor on driver's side. Steering box interference... Either need to reverse winch in/out direction or flip the pattern on the crossmember. At least it's just tacked in and I can plug the holes with the hole saw blanks. Oh well... What's a little more welding and grinding.

Didn't get to wheel as much as I would have liked.

Manned the registration area most of friday and blew my rear driveshaft flange adapter on the first obstacle on Saturday.

fairlead needs to be on the bottom, and do not reverse the winch, that does bad things, I have no steering box interference with mine

I'm reading the winch's manual... It's a cheapo Ramsey winch and as such, I don't think it has a brake and I might actually be able to reverse the polarity.

I was ready to plan on going up when I texted you. When I found out you stayed home I totally gave up on Rocktoberfest. Bunch of respectable young men sitting around a fire, taking a shot at talking shit and just ending up having down to earth conversations with each other and sharing friendship. NO. THANKS. I bet without you squash head and squash dick just bonded and acted like complete gentlemen. UGH.
