THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

For the purposes of this event, THERE ARE NO TRAILS FOR BIKES/QUADS AT F&F.

Don't confuse people.

Wouldn't it be easier to say that you cannot ride at F&F during this event? :spin1:

I WON'T EVER ARGUE WITH YOU AGAIN GRANDPA!

On a Jeep related note- I think I have a blockage in my PCV system somewhere- I'm getting oil forced out where the distributor goes into the block, by the oil fill cap, and the dipstick was forced out of where it sits when I popped the hood today. Where's the most common spot for blockage? This is on a 94 4.0 HO.

I'd try the vent fittings on the valve cover first.

Just pour some dish soap in the engine and drive into a lake, that should fix it.

both elbows on top of the valve cover (most likely the rear one with the small hole), and the vacuum tubes running from the rear elbow to the intake manifold. The elbow you can clean out and reinstall. The tubes probably you won't be able to get clean if they are that blocked up you are blowing the dipstick off..they aren't too expensive for a new hose assembly (part # 53030729)

You suggest cleaning out the elbows or replacing? The 5 minutes of reading I did says that there's universal replacements at parts stores, but I don't want to put new shit on this motor if I can help it.

You'll know in about 8 seconds after you take some carb or brake cleaner to them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

I rectified yesterday's roadblocks and am back at it. Unless some other catastrophe occurs, the unibody will have stiffeners from the front leaf mounts to the front bumper and a fully welded trans crossmember. Here's hoping I don't light my interior on fire.

Brake cleaner eats rubber you nitwit

Much nicer dealing with real beadlocks than those weld-on ones I used to have.

the front elbow is completely open, nothing special

the rear elbow has a special size hole in one end to allow only a certain amount of gasses though.

If they aren't broken, just clean them. The rear fitting is NOT a universal parts store piece. I replaced mine with a dealer one since it was broken.
