ah, i see. they only made like 250 of those according to allpar. lotus helped design those cars too, didn't know that. apparently the omni GLHS had the turbo II running 175hp, i thought that would have been more.



before the trail rated badge marketing campaign, every jeep vehicle was tested on the rubicon and was not a jeep if it didn't make it. then they came out with trail rated badges for the models that could do it... which is why the compass/patriot and WJ front wheel drive models could be sold.

They made more Spirit R/T's than that, not too sure about the Daytona's. I think it was over 1200 produced. Daytona had lower production I think. I'd drive the shit out of a Spirit R/T.

Also, front wheel drive WJ?

Theory doesn't really hold up- there were 2WD XJ's, MJ's, and ZJ's as well.

Theory doesn't really hold up- there were 2WD XJ's, MJ's, and ZJ's as well.

the trail rated badge thing was started in 2004. so 2wd WJs didn't get the badge, the rest did.

i'd rather have one wheel drive in the snow than a LSD. i think chris had that problem with his inner one winter.

i never really did own it per say.... didn't even look at it this year at all. i've given up on it bc it's not worth putting money into. and i haven't, but if given the choice to have just one bike, it wouldn't be my first choice.

I just checked it out...way cool. I had a low mileage Yamaha YSR50 years ago I swapped a YZ 80 motor into, stretched, and custom wheels/paint...still kick my self all the time for selling it. It was a blast to ride. Arrgh...
