THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

We've been trying to do that for years but every time we have the cash saved we spend it on something else. Good mattresses that we both seem to think are comfortable are not cheap unfortunately.
What size you getting?

Our mattress is close to 20 years old, and it's come to the point where both of us are waking up w back pain. We had an engagement party last weekend and have some stuff given to us from macys w gift receipts, so that's extra $$ to it. Gonna go w a queen bc a king won't fit in out apt and buying another full is a waste of money. Macys is also running 12 mo no interest payments and tarahs mom has coupons out the butthole for the place.

I looked last night at stuff on amazon, and the cheap (3-400$) stuff reviews great for 6 months to a year, so it isn't worth it. Mattress review sites said a quality mattress is good for only 8 years anyway which I think makes sense. Probably be spending at least a grand on one before discounts/sales/etc.

We went and we weren't impressed really. I'm gonna look into the amazon stuff more. Apparently latex is the cats pajamas when it comes to mattresses.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

ive heard alot of very good things about the bob-o-pedic line. a friend of mine has one and loves it. its not "cheap" but its suposed to be just as good as a tempurpedic which is like 2K so at 8-900 is not bad. and I bet memfoam lasts longer that a spring matress. just dont wet the bed cause it will never come out.

we just got a spring mattress from sams club. for our new house. its pretty good. alittle too firm for me as I cant sleep on my back or I will die. but its probly just for now. when we get a bigger place. Id like to get a king mem foam

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

I paid like $1200 for a new bed from Jordan's furniture like 6 years ago.

Pillowtop queen. Still comfortable to me and Kate. I rotate the mattress like once a year.

8 years? Well ours is over 4 times the lifespan then. Our mattress is older than me.

we went to Bob's and the saleswoman was a pushy arrogant person. We walked out because of this.

Yup, we want a pillow top too, it is what we have in VT. Don't like the memory foam.

So I'm gonna do my own alignment on the truck, since both frt tires are wearing on the outside edge gonna adjust the tie rods out a round. Then put the rear BFGs on the frt and 2 of the Fierce MT's on the rear and I'll see how the bfg's wear on the frt, then I'll put the other 2 MT's on the frt

Im sure that same woman works at every bobs. so no one should shop at any bobs ever again.

I got a queen sized Bob-o-pedic about 1.5 years ago and it is awesome. Very comfortable, and I would say the frequency of me waking up in the middle of the night tossing and turning has definitely decreased.

I went from a pillow top to a memory foam. I found the foam a bit weird when I was checking them out at the store, but now I don't even know there is anything different about my bed.

Yep, I went in the 1st time to Bob's and had a very pushy guy. Second time I went in, guy was nice and helpful.

I'm in the same situation.

I can think of a few thousand things to spend money on before that gets to the top of the list...

:spin1:
That and the stuff she was peddling was no better than ikea.
I'm sure they have decent stuff but she wasn't helping any sale. Had she not been so pushy we'd probably have bought the mattress and I wouldn't have a lawn mower.

Awesome!
I'll have to check them out and when we have some time maybe check out their Woburn showroom.
We were looking at a mattress that was made in MI or WI or something like that.

How can I cross reference parts now? Rockauto used to let you see what part would fit other vehicles. Like, I have a taurus and focus's in the yard and I want to see if the fuel pumps will work before I spend all night tearing into it and they don't.
