Going to a show at Pier 5 Pavilion in Baltimore Harbor tonight.

G.Love and the Special Sauce and Slightly Stoopid. Excited for that.

BFG A/Ts. I'm too reluctant to try anything else since they wear really well, work really well, and aren't loud.

They're just expensive. But I guess for a reason.

I normally get 50k miles out of a set on my truck. And last year I went down to PA 4 times.

i was thinking them solely based on the amount of nut slinging you do about them

But yes, I've yet to hear anyone else claim better results on a different tire. So why change.

my buddy is on his 2nd set of toyo mts on his cummins. first set lasted 75k with abuse and lots of towing. second set is at 35k or so with just as much abuse and are at half tread.

My Duratracs have 35k or so on them, and are at at least half tread.

No towing or anything obviously, but I'm sure they'd do well in a heavier load range too.

EDIT: Probably no cost difference between those and the BFG's, either.

I'm not running an MT on my truck. I'm sure it's loud (my truck is already loud enough) and don't do well in the rain or snow.

If it was a jeep or something sure.

Eh, like I said not sold on anything else yet. If they were cheaper, I'd consider them.

Usually get about 60-70k out of Falken Wildpeaks with a lot more towing than that.

Do you keep track of the mileage? Do you rotate them?

I can get 50-55k miles out of the BFGs but I'm rotating them at every oil change.

I'm not opposed to another tire, but like I said I haven't found anything better yet.

I've seen a few people have issues with those tires wearing extremely fast, prob why there hard to find now

That would be my hesitation. Considering the Falkens are $70 less a tire, there's no way they are as good quality. I just can't see it.

I've never heard of a bad experience running BFG ATs, at least on the road. Everyone I knew easily got 50k miles out of them with no noise, no issues, and worked solid in the rain/snow.

I'm absolutely a BFG AT nut swinger.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

I bought my ZJ with 235/75R15 BFG AT's with probably around 20% tread on them, and they were horrible whenever it was wet out. Not sure if you see the same thing, Colin, once you're getting pretty low on tread with yours.

That I definitely did notice, but I just attributed it to the fact that they were getting harder.

Once I hit the last 5-10k miles of them, they didn't do so well in the rain. Still did well in the snow, but yeah the rain traction was significantly decreased.

Gotcha, they were one of the worst sets of tires that I've had in that regard.
