Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
well, here's my weekend recap:
-spent ALL DAY saturday replacing the passenger side CV in my sister's sentra. i made my sister and tarah go get food and a 32mm socket... that took over an hour. bad idea lol. also did pads and rotors, and the pads had like 1/8" too much metal on them on the bottom, so i ended up grinding it off to match the old pads. the lower ball joint started spinning the second i put a wrench on it to pull off the knuckle.. that took a while to get off, and of course now i had to get a new ball joint. old axle came out and went in easy. had to nigrig two different ball joint presses to get the old on out and new one in bc of how the control arm is designed. super dumb. finished at 530, took it for a test drive and the driver's side caliper seized. called it a day at 6 since we were already running late for concert #1.
-today, woke up and outside by 9 and tested the caliper to make sure that was the problem and it was. pulled it off, got a new one. installed, test drive done, mint. leave at 1115 to go drop the car off and then drive to a graduation party for my cousin at a chinese buffet that gave me indigestion just by walking in the door. who the **** wants chinese buffet at 12 on a sunday? home at 330, take a dump, clean up all my tools i left out in the garage. replace the master cylinder o-ring things on my truck bc they were leaking. bleed brakes, done. it is now 545, time to shower, return the core caliper, and head to concert #2.
TL;DR: working on cars sucks. cant wait for nacfest.
