THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think that's when they do their backups or something.

I think I remember a while ago they had it earlier in the morning but the SoCal guys complained it interrupted them late at night...

Time for us to complain about it being too early!! I used to not have a problem, but lately it seems to be happening more so when I'm up around the 5am-ish area.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Finally got the 5.9 ZJ back to my house yesterday after storing it all winter. Cleaned it up and charged the battery, runs like a champ again. Man this thing's fun.

The front windows are both ****ed though, seems to be a common problem with the rollers falling apart that ride in the regulator track. I found this fix:

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/broken-window-regulator-rollers-i-got-cheap-fix-you-902285/

For now I just jammed the roller-less nubs back in the track and got the windows up all the way. Need to tackle that soon though.

Any ZJ guys have any experience on this problem? Worth dicking around with the rollers or just get a whole new regulator assembly?

My P/S front window on the 5.9 would only go down a few inches before falling off the track. I pulled it apart and found one really f-ed roller, and the others weren't in great shape either. I just went ahead and bought the new regulator and swapped it out. I read up on that fix also, but didn't feel like dicking around with it a bunch if I didn't align the glass right. Still took me two shots to get the new regulator in 100% though. Hardest part is getting the glass tightened down in the right spot on the regulator. I tried to put everything as high up in the door as I could to get it all aligned. A second set of hands can be helpful too.

I didn't complain because I'm not a crybaby, but I disliked that as well! :laugh3:

I'll mention something in the BOD forum... if I don't get anywhere then make a stink in the members forum. ;)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It bugs me too, plus you are not the only one to say something.

5-5:30am EST is 2-2:30am PST for those folks; so if they roll it back an hour so it isn't going to affect anyone. 1-1:30am for them should be fine as 4-4:30am would be for us.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Spent all day yesterday running again getting new parts and having the shop next door fix the boom truck. Did 2 jobs this morning, go to leave and it starts running terrible again. I'm still 30 miles from the shop down 495. This sucks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So went to buy something and the register wasn't charging tax so the clerk had to do it by hand.

She didn't get that if my purchase was $2.99 that she could just multiply that by 1.0625 and get the correct total. When I told her that I got "No, MA tax is 6 1/4 percent".
So she did on her calculator (it had a % button thank god I didn't have to explain that):

2.99*6% = 0.1794
1/4 = 0.25
2.99*.25% = 0.007475
Then added to get $3.176

Now, I know the answer is the same, but her math teacher must be pissed.

i really wish that when people ask for help they can't figure out that they tell you what they were doing and how they were doing it from the start instead they tell you that the are doing something completely different and it is your fault that it is wrong then after 6 emails they break down and explain what they were doing

my favorite.

I love when I've spent 20 minutes on the phone with someone and they're telling me what they're doing, then we reach a random offhanded comment that tells me what they think they're doing, isn't what they're doing.

Occams razor. You are more correct.

#5... Sound familiar to anyone?

The worst part of it is, the guys with built jeeps or tacos park their ride and talk about it for hours instead of just wheeling. Last weekend this group of tacos drove 2+ hours to a meetup parked their trucks on some dirt, talked for 3-4 hours then drove home. They did a total of like 10 minutes of actual wheeling.
