THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Maybe this weekend? I'm starting my other job next week and (hopefully) will have zero time to socialize because i'll constantly be making waaaay too much money! lol... But yeah I think I could probably go down on Saturday maybe? Low on cash for gas because of my trip this past weekend but I'll try and save a tank to cruise there and chillax/be productive

Ah, good ol Boston. NOTTT!!
(
I know you all HATE cities, but there are many advantages of living in Boston that you can't get living in the middle of no where. There is so much more stuff that goes on in Boston than anywhere else.

Ever heard the phrase "vote with your feet"?
I have never actually heard that phrase, but I know what you mean.

I'm thinking about possible getting a place of my own come September when my lease is up since I hate pissing away money into rent, but it will have to be in a place as close to Boston that is gun friendly as possible. There is so much stuff that goes on in Boston that I just can't imagine living alone in the middle of no where and not going into full on hermit mode at this time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've lived in Boston the past couple years and love it, mainly because Carl likes to go there and visits me.

its people like you that keep me away from cities.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just curious Mark, what do you like to do in the city that only ever happens there that makes living in or nearby worth it?

Honest question, no sarcasm, because after going to school there for 4 years there was never really anything going on that made me want to live there. But I obviously couldn't have known about everything.

That was my plan all along.

Did you live in the city when you were in school or commute?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I commuted from Stoughton.

I spent several nights at my friend's dorms when we would go out drinking at a bar/club or something, but that's about it.

I'll be in Allston tonight listening to weirdo music. I'm gonna save some urine for the side of your jeep when I'm ready to go home.

I like Boston because I hate everyone that lives there and I'm an idiot.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How much would you guys pay to see Colin fist pumping his dick off in duh club, poppin bottles, going ham, turn down for wut?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The only things I do in the city are drink or go to sports events, where I drink.

I'd argue that living there is a totally different experience. Nice to be able to park somewhere on a Friday and not have to get in my car to do anything until work on Monday if I wanted to. Everything I need is within walking distance, and I only have to drive somewhere if I want to. That convinience alone is worth a bunch. Nice to be able to go grab dinner/beers at a wide variety of places within walking distance or a short ride on the T, and not have to worry about driving back. Everything comes TO Boston too- music, comedians, sports, etc. I've lived in cities in other areas in the past few years (Syracuse, Manchester, New Haven, Burlington, VT) and they just didn't have the same qualities or feel.

I'm glad you mentioned food(duh you're fat), it's probably the only reason i'd consider the city, but a huge one. In any hipster spots, allston/cambridge/whatever there's always a shwarma place adjacent to all the bars. I mean, c'mon, that's ****ing awesome. You guys have that up in NH or wherever you're living? NO? YOUR LIFE ****IN SUCKS KILL YOURSELF

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Shwarmas are so yummy, but I don't base my domicile location around Mediterranean wraps.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I ate shwarma yesterday so you guys know, it was pretty good.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Living near a city, much less *in* one, would drive me insane in very short order. That kinda life has zero appeal to me.
same.

Have you done it?

yup.

lived in NYC 5 days a week for most of a year. Wanted to kill myself. Quit and left.

I am never going back to city life, and I say that from my hellhole in the wooded end of the ghetto, less than a mile from like six bars, a grocery store, three gas stations, an auto parts store, a laundromat, at least one crackhouse, and a liquor store.

The only thing I miss is being able to get street meat on the way back from the bar. I'd kill for a lamb over saffron rice right now, but that's true on days ending in Y.

Well then you're an idiot, because they don't have to come in a wrap and shwarma is awesome. I bet you've only had chicken shwarma you redneck weirdo, GROW UP.
