THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Tonight into tomorrow morning I'm gonna tow 10,000lbs of donuts from Sturbridge to Allagash ME with Justin riding shotgun. You read that right-My Valentine is 10k of donuts.

oh p.s. Allagash is supposed to get over 2 feet today. It's gonna be AWESOME :D

Expired/defective etc. Bear bait :)

Starting to make more sense now. I was wondering if you got a job with Dunkin Donuts or some thing but those are usually hauled on a trailer by a pickup.

How did you get that gig?
More importantly how expired?
Yum?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

No clue how expired haha. But they're in 55gal drums, and either they're already sealed with grease or will be I'm not sure. It's for a guy Justin met through the bear study when he was going to Unity College, he owns mainetrophyoutfitters.com and a super nice/cool guy. Met him last month at the Sportsmans show in Salem....where he was sleeping in his truck for the weekend and brought nothing but expired foods to eat for the weekend

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So we'll do a total of 4 trips for him, 25 barrels each time, and then get paid via a week of bear hunting in the fall. Fine by me. Justin might go up there in August to help him out with stuff and then Scott and I would use the two hunts we're bartering for via these trips. It'll be about a thousand bucks in fuel, and he usually charges between 900-2000 per person depending on different factors, mostly how involved you want/need him to be as far as getting to your spot, dragging the bear out, dressing it, etc. So $1000ish for 2 hunts is a steal especially since I love driving and doing fun stuff anyways, and I consider trips like this to be awesome so it's not even really a pain or anything to do.

Fun stuff :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

drove my jeep to work again today since i would be coming to another unplowed private road and driveway. 2hrs drive to east hampton just to find about 2" of hard pack snow... theres just a tad bit less snow here lol

3.2 *million* acres of woods behind his place up there! He's got 83 or 86 (I forget) bait sites, 2 5 gallon buckets of bait per day per site when the season comes. You can start baiting in August and the season runs into October...he's gonna go through a LOT of donuts!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

5.9 wouldn't start today. Stalled out yesterday after I had to drive through a deep puddle on the VFW parkway. Started right up after a few minutes there and ran fine. Gave up this morning and pushed it to the shop across the street from where it was parked, trash style. Dude thinks it's the coil.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

IF it happens to have a 5.3 you could always pick it up if its a good truck otherwise and just keep an eye out for a regular bed :dunno:
