THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Y'all are pansies, I towed to WF12 with a van I'd resurrected from 3 years of broken-ness a week before and made it home without leaving anything behind except a handful of cutoff wheels that blew away, my exhaust system, and the longevity of my engine. 2000 miles round trip.

I'd do it again but I would certainly end up stranded this time around. And I'm broke and a friend of mine is in town that weekend so it'll have to be WF15...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hell, the only thing stopping me from taking multiple trips down to RC and Line Mtn this year is money.

The drive is the last thing that would stop me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it's not about the drive length, more about the money required to drive that distance. Money i don't have to drop on a weekend trip, and have enough left to fix whatever might break enough to drive 400+ miles back, and then to work the next day.

Hopefully i can join y'all up there for one of these events, just not in the cards right now...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Speaking of Nacfest, when is it this year? :eyes: Mostly concerned with how close it's going to be to the 15th event

Congratulations, you made it 2/3rds the distance to the Hammers. :D

I've seen the "help broke down tow rig exploded" threads on Pirate every damn year, and they're towing rigs worth easily 100 times what mine is, on trailers worth 10+ times, with tow rigs worth a zero or two more than mine, so I know the Hammers is NOT for me. Not for a number of years at the very least, I'm running on the assumption that it'll be closed before I manage to get myself to a position where I can consider going.

There was one of those threads in the colorado chapter a few months back. :explosion

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yep... every time I consider driving my pile long distance I remember the thread in NAC, too.

Sucks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

F&F is absolutely amazing. It is something anyone in the NE should budget for to get to wheel

I'd love to get up there. Just didn't have the money this past year since we got back from moab a few days before. It's on the list for this year.
