I believe it was a late 95 or something and had the newer style with the different seals and stuff. I swapped in late model parts fine

racetruck is now drifttruck, on a side note why do idiots where dark clothes on a unlighted st while its snowing with no reflective gear or lighting?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I mounted my plow to my tractor last night, installed the wheel weights, got all the plow adjustment linkages freed up and working nicely. Have tire chains for it ready too but I'm gonna try it without them first as I don't know how aggressive they'll be on my pavement.

Pretty much guaranteed that this storm isn't gonna dump much of anything.

Well that was a halfway epic fail.

Should've put the tire chains on last night when I had time and everything was dry. Didn't move worth a shit without them. So I pulled it back in the garage, laid in dripping snow & slush, and put them on in a hurry...made it 20 feet down the driveway and promptly chucked one off. Back in the garage again, get it on tighter...throw the other side off after another 50 feet. Back to the garage again...got it on tighter...time to actually push snow.

Well, I had been waiting for it to stop snowing, which happened, but it also switched over to rain at the same time. After all my dicking around with the tire chains now it was just plain raining, so I was soaked after 5 minutes and the entire driveway had turned to a wet, heavy, slushy mess. Had to beat the hell out of the plow to get anywhere and after a few passes down the main part of the driveway it threw a chain off again so I said **** it and quit.

The rain will wash away most of it faster than I could've plowed it anyway.

Note for next time, once everything dries out I'll put the chains on proper and not wait until I have to push 6" of slush.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thing is probably about to rust in half.

The 4x4 in my dad's 98 Dodge plow truck quit engaging, turns out the hardlines on the frame that carry vacuum to the front axle actuator rusted through. Once this shit melts I guess I'll just shim the fork over and leave it engaged til after winter.

Damnit. LOL

I may throw significant quantities of beer at you, wasn't it a d35 rear originally though? Or did you just want 3.55s for it when you did the 8.8, I forget.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Got about 7" thus far. Cleaned that up in case it switches to rain in the morning. That way I won't be pushing all that extra wet stuff.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

11 does walked through the field between my buddy and I and we had but one doe tag for the zone of the state and it was his. He shot first and she dropped where she stood, lung and spine. We're splitting the meat down the spine. Probably about 110 lbs dressed. 2 more weeks till the season (black powder and archery) is over and a friend of a friend has a doe tag he's not going to use and I'm trying to get it from him.
