THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How much can i theoretically stretch the axle in my XJ forward before I start running into steering bind/clearance issues? The coil buckets are in the stock location

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I stretched my front end about 1.5-2" max when I had my HP44 in my old XJ. But the coil buckets were centered over the axle.

Not sure about stock brackets.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm just gonna throw this out there but I think it's infinity

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm thinking 1.5" should be enough for me to be happy

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I drive a 99 ford ranger, I guess it looks like a truck and it's cool I guess :dunno:

I had multiple Rangers over the years. Loved them all. Never left me on the side of the road once...My favorites would be a tossup between a 92 xcab i bought that had a 5spd, 2wd, and , oddly, a 3.27 rear...the thing was actually pretty damn fast and got great mileage, but some moron blew a stop sign in front of me, I smacked the side of his trunk (old Buick Regal), flipped him over twice...I walked away unhurt, and the truck was still drivable with nothing more than a tierod adjustment.
The other was an 88 shortbed standard cab that I swapped an 86 T-bird Turbo 2.3 into..had the big Garrett T3 turbo and a T5 trans. behind it...my buddy had a 454SS at the same time and I smoked him badly, even with a one-legger rear.
Roll your Ranger proudly, I WILL build a mid-engine V8 sleeper some time in the future.

That 2.3 turbo truck must have screwed. I've always wanted an SVO, Otto build something with that motor, like a lightweight buggy, or a ranger like yours sounds fun.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm at 1.5 gonna go to 2" if I hot full hydro it be 3"

r

I stretched mine about 5 in with the full hydro. Id say thats about the max. if I moved my lower coil buckets back any farther they would interfere with my LCAs

I had to move my frame side trackbar bracket forward 2in
