What does loaded mean? Like if I had let's say a mill on the back, obviously not a car. That's fine? And I can't have a car on the back in CT? Nothing would ever need to touch the ground. Just for picking up a mill, wanted to know if I could use the tow truck. Also for future reference it's good to know if I can tow the honcho outside of MA.

Ct considers anything on the back a load, but if you own the mill, its not an issue. The other option is to have "not for hire" on the truck somewhere

As an owner of an '08 F350, I happen to like the vertical headlights, BUT...the frontend styling on the new ones does nothing for me, too many goofy curves and the grille is now so over-the-top its garish. The new diesel (6.7) gets raves from everyone Ive talked to with one, and im envious of the mileage gain over my 6.4..but I can live with it. The chevy and dodge HD's do nothing for me at all, not enough differentiation from the 1/2-ton models.
Agreed about american vehicle interiors, most suck, period..ESPECIALLY GM products..it's like they resurrected Ray Charles to design the ergonomics. That said, I towed my XJ to ColoradoFest 2 years back and the cloth 40/20/40 seats in the 350 were 100% comfortable over every single one of those 4000+ miles. You dont really know how much thought went into your seats until you've spent 16 hours straight in them.

Yeah, everyone likes different stuff, just personally not a huge fan of em. Out of the three I like the newer dodges the best, the GM stuff is fugly in my eyes too.

About the ergonomics/seats- I LOVE the interior of my truck. There's a couple little door panel bulbs that are burnt out, but with it being 12 years old and 200k I'm not complaining. And when I first bought it I drove almost to PA, then Stoughton, then home pretty much non stop, I think it was about 14 hours, and my butt didn't complain one bit. That's one thing I love about big trucks, there's so much roominess and space and more often than not I find them to be super comfy.

thinkin bout dinding a southern IDI turbo, cheap rust free and i can reuse my shit, i just like the looks of the OBS fords, only complaint i have with my truck is the trans and sloppy steering

Good god my pinion seal is completely gone.

I had to fill it up 3 qts last night (takes 5). Got to work today, back of the truck is coated in gear oil and there is a steady drip from the pinion seal. I was in my truck for about 1-2 minutes after parking, and then I came out and it's a fist sized puddle.

Balls.

Probably gave everyone driving behind me automatic rust protection at this point :laugh:

It was bad enough that I could smell it in the cab while driving.

Found a Timken bearing kit for $177 through amazon. Probably gonna next day that...

I took tomorrow off from work to bang it out.

Also need to fix that fifth gear housing on the NV4500. I read about some machining issues with them, and sure enough, the input bearing retainer from a 241 doesn't sit flush in the recess in the housing. Gonna have to do a bit of grinding on the retainer. Didn't have to do this for the MJ which is odd.

99 still on tonight? Gonna try and make it 16 hr day yesterday and dealing with attitudes and bullshit today kind of ****ing tired of this shit

im still game i can probably get down to canton at around 7 the earliest depending on how many bad drivers there are on 95
