Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Holy Effff! I just googled one of those part numbers, and the cheapest I could find one of those parts was $135 for a single tail lamp!

Call Jeff.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So there's a howling in my truck.

Only while coasting, in gear, and it starts going away (or just being too high of a pitch for me to hear) around 50-60 mph.

Push in the clutch, noise is gone. Put the trans in neutral, noise is gone. Doesn't matter what gear I'm in.

Wondering if the cracked 5th gear housing is putting a load on the output bearing on the transmission.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Time to shell out $60K+ on a new diesel!

Kidding of course.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wish. My friend at work just bought a new truck and I'm mad jealous. 2013 CTD 6 spd manual. I haven't seen it yet but I bet it's mint. He got a really good deal on it too.

I'm milking mine for as long as I can. Though with 200k miles on it, it doesn't owe me anything at this point.

Its funny you say that, I saw an earth rover for the first time in NH when I was up there, camping in a Walmart parking lot.

Sweet!
I'm not sold on the front of the Ram trucks though. The Fords and new HD GMCs look better, IMO. Not that it really matters cause I had to put up a license plate light lens for the wife's car at the dealer two weeks ago so I looked at the Ford's there. I like 'em, but the cheapest of the 5 diesels on the lot was $58K sticker. The salesman came out (which I quickly told him I was only waiting on parts) and he wanted to buy my truck for himself personally once he found out the year. Ain't doing that!

I'm with you I'm driving/running mine till I can't anymore. Then I'll be screwed when I need to replace it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah to each their own. I think the new Fords look hideous. GMCs/Chevys aren't bad. But to me Dodge nailed it once again in the looks department.

I love the two-tone, but that's probably only on Laramie models (aka $$$). Not big on the chrome mirrors, but they are starting to grow on me. I'll probably never own one...but I can dream.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I'll own one of those sometime around 2020-2025.

It may or may not ever actually run while in my possession.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll probably retire mine when the back of the frame rots off like the Ramcharger did.

If it goes along the same timeframe that the Ramcharger did, I should get another 10 years out of this truck

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That truck looks good, but seems like most of the time I see a newer ram it looks like:

OR

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i like how on the bed rail boxes for the rams they have one of those "im being kidnapped" release handles because just in case you are able to stuff a premature baby in one of those it can free itself easly
