Neither your post nor the one you quoted is the first post. :dunce:

Parents house got broken into maybe 5 minutes before my sister and her fiance got back last night. Scared em off near as we can tell, a bunch of lights were on and doors opened but nothing seems to be missing and they ran out the front door as my sister went in the back door.

that sucks, Ken...what town was this? Lucky timing on their part. Time for a guard dog.

Any of you fools have a np241c passenger side drop?

Haverhill. They have had few issues till this time, changing all the locks out today. I told em that locks and doors are to keep the wind out and make people feel safe, but that didn't do much to convince anyone.

If someone wants in, they are gonna kick the damn door down and be done with it.

Bro Dodge is back on the road with the new clutch and other goodies. Put some miles on it today, driving to Nashua tomorrow, and hopefully this week itll be broken in and ready for some more power and more fun

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Over the last few days I converted both my furnace and the kitchen stove from propane to natural gas. Had to drill out all the orifices slightly larger, change some regulator springs, not a huge deal.

Sometime between yesterday and today the gas company pulled a ninja install on the meter and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the main valve wasn't locked out pending inspection. Soooo...being the inquisitive asshole that I am, of course I just turned the gas service on to see if all my conversion work turned out OK.

Both the stove and the furnace kicked on as soon as I got the air bled out, did a bunch of tweaking on the furnace regulator (timing the cubic-feet dial on the meter to calculate flow rate, then multiplying by BTU's/ft^3, and adjusting the regulator until the input BTU's match the rating plate)...everything works great.

I have a 134,000 BTU tankless water heater on the way to replace the 50-gallon electric unit...which has been costing me over $50/month in electricity just by itself, in a house that I haven't been living in. **** that. The tankless unit was $420 shipped and with ventilation/plumbing will probably total out to $700 when it's done, with an operating cost of a few dollars a month. Should pay for itself in way less than 2 years. Good thing I added a ball valve for it off the main gas pipe ahead of time so I can do the gas work at my leisure. Also added a T and second ball valve just after the meter to run another outside line for BBQ, NG-powered generator (optional at some point), and garage heat.

I never knew that NG was that scarce up by most of you...that sucks. :)

Next step was to clean the oven as the previous owner apparently exploded a carcass of some sort in there and instead of cleaning it out just chose to bake everything on instead...so I got the most badass industrial oven cleaner I could find at Home Depot (made sure it had copious amounts of lye in the ingredients), applied it about 15 minutes ago, and now my house smells like a chemical war zone. Ick.

Time to go see if the baked-on crap loosened up at all...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Pretty shitty. Especially since it sounds like someone else was driving and it was for his charity. Ya never know...
