THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dealership.

Tarahs best friends husband works at a ford dealer here. Smart guy, not just a wrench monkey. He's not a big fan of the job but he gets paid well, has great bennies, and there's plenty of room for mobility up the ladder. And the prices he can get cars off of the lot for is completely ridiculous. He priced out a 2013 5.0 mustang for something like 22 grand, and got his f150 for like 7-8k off sticker.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what do you do with wires that you cut out of a harness? just tape the ends or leave them? was considering dipping them in plasti dip

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If its interior I just cut em back at different lengths so they can't short to something else and then rewrap the harness. Engine/chassis I eliminate em and/or tape the ends.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The two things I didn't like with that set up was the width and lack of gearing options. I would've liked 5.13/5.38 and ideally an arb in place of the rear Aussie.
I can see that being a pain in the ass. Im not changing any thing in my setup for a long time my current one works for me. I plan on plating the unibody and rocking it for now. Basically running it till I cant and or my 30 just quits life.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A long time being next week? Or tomorrow?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

When I have more than 45$ left over at the end of the week. I went from 200-300$ left over to that. So it will be a while! :gee: Working nights and getting up at 4:30 suck. I have given up any modding plans besides mid stiffeners for now. I really to be honest dont want to work on it other than the repairing what I break.

Dealership.
Hourly or flat rate?
I don't think I would ever go back to a dealership for flat rate, piss off whoever dispatches the work, and your trapped in warranty hell taking home a 30 hour paycheck at the end of a 50 hour week.

i hear this from some people, then i hear about the guys who take home 80+ grand a year.

I think it has a lot to do with the dealership you work at.

I know its going to be more work than the gig I have now, but will be more money too. even on a bad week.

If I could have saturdays off and add an a hour and a half each week day this would be a much easier descision lol.

and I don't have the job offer in stone yet, I just want to be ready incase I need to make a quick descision. The interview went extremely well and he seemed enthusiastic about me towards the end.

Before I commit I will be sure to talk to some of the techs there. Get a feel for the environment and make sure they are happy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That sounds like it has potential. Considering it doesn't sound like your current job has any room for advancement, I'd be tempted to take it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

DC manager just came in here and asked me why I've been driving so many different Jeeps lately. I love that there's no good way to explain why without sounding like a crazy person.

No vacation + 6 day work week would absolutely be a deal breaker for me. My sanity and free time are worth way more than a larger salary.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's easy to say no when I'm not in Sam's position.

Considering it's just no vaca for the first year and if the benefits/pay are that much better, I'd be tempted to say yes.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you still have a template for those vetteboy?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

One week paid vaca after a year. 2 weeks after 2. And 3 after 5.

I also have a paid trip to koh this year. This job would make that not happen.
