THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Awesome. I wanted a section of stainless top, but that will have to wait. Right now I'm going to double up 3/4" hardwood ply.

Just passed up like 5 free stainless tables. Didn't even realize people thought they were cool for anything other than slicing ham on.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I "built" mine on my back porch and laying in the dirt.

Now I have a sheet of closed cell foam that I can lie on!

The bench in my 'clean room' workshop is gonna be 3/4" with a layer of something nice glued to the top...probably a formica kind of surface. Something white or light colored. That room is not going to see a drop of oil.

Well, maybe gun oil.

Lol.

Take that number, add in whatever buffer you think is good. Then double that whole amount and throw another 10% in and you might be getting close.

P.S. my 30x30 "oversize 2 car" is going to be just enough for 1 project. Hope you don't plan on actually using it to park cars and stuff or you're going to spend half your project time just moving shit around. :)

:dunno: I'm not really all that worried about it. I guess I just don't understand what would make it cost double that but either way I'm covered.

You must have some ridiculously high standards  Coming from working in a tent, a 2 car garage (let alone an oversize) is a friggin godsend. And no, I already told her I get the whole garage, and she's ok with it :)

A 4? HAHAHAAHA! Even Angel would laugh at that.

But seriously if you want someone else to look over it let me know we ain't that far, but I'm sure your father or Rick would be going anyway.

If I could start the build all over I'd do it this second. Building the house was probably one of the funnest things I've ever done.

You've got to check out my new workbench I'm working on.
17'3" long, those Austrian dimensional 2x10s (not nominal like today's US lumber) from that huge pallet I got. Should handle weight just fine. :)

Your garage is huge dude  I could easily fit four cars in there, granted not much else would be going on.

Really? All I remember is you complaining about certain things and how stressful it was :D Just kidding, I'm sure it was fun but like I said it's not something I have the desire to do.

You passed them up after making fun of my sawhorses?

Once I'm done with my workshop I've got her "craftroom" and my "clean room" to buildout. I'm pumped.

He's right. It gets expensive at closing. Look at title fee, file this fee, record at registry of deeds this paper fee, have someone read and sign this fee, look at title again fee, etc. etc. etc. its a lot. Figure 1.5% to 2% of the loan amount on closing fees alone.

Huge? Oh boy, we've already got an area staked out for were we want to put a barn. (not anytime soon mind you)

Lot less stressful now. :)
Really, I would jump on doing it again if I could.

They were big, I don't think you'd have anywhere for them right now.
If you come across more, let me know. I'll make it worth your while... if you know what I mean.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was going to sleep in my truck but now I'm your "big" spoon both nights.

You gotta fight Adam for that.

Maybe I can be his spoon.

Get enough dudes together and I Bet we could circle spoon.

Nothing like spending your whole day cooking 150lbs of bacon

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That is possibly the most boring Line Mtn video I've seen yet.

Did you notice all the guys holding GoPros out on poles? Must've been at least half a dozen around the track.
