i didnt get as much done as i wanted on my jeep yesterday, and my buddy built a whole front bumper and hated it and is gonna cut it off. i got my skid and hitch off, built mounts and tie ins to slide into the framerail. also cut and folded the quarter panels. i think im gonna build a rear stinger/tire carrier.

There is a real slick looking gunmetal blue xj near me with an awesome rear stinger carrier, but he works at an iron forge so its not fair

Just saw the smallest lifted xj driver to date, Keith has at least 2" on this guy

Fixed up the 241 Sam gave me and threw that back in the MJ. Apparently it uses the same bolt pattern as Dodge because I was actually able to use all 6 input bolts this time? Weird. Either way it's cool. That and they're not metric on this one, they're 3/8-16.

Reused my make-shift engine hoist (2x2 across the harness bar and windshield bar with a come-along) and got the 205 back into place and sealed up. Have the new mount all drawn up, but the humidity was finally getting to me so I came in.

We went out on my dad's boat yesterday. Was nice to take a break and relax even if it wasn't wheeling.

YOU'RE WELCOME. now you have a t-case thats better bolted to your transmission. I planned for that. And you have American hardware, for your american truck.

Where should I get tube from?

I briefly read that if I ever plan on doing competitions i'm going to need 2.0" od tubing for my cage due to rules n junk because it is a pig. So I guess I'm gonna do that.

I don't think line mtn has a tubing size rule but you'll have to read their rules. I know U4 does but I didn't think you were planning for that.

Just use 1.75 like everybody else. Properly designed it'll be more then fine anyways.

I wouldn't be against 2" for just the main part of the cage (A and B pillars)

I don't think line mtn has a tubing size rule but you'll have to read their rules. I know U4 does but I didn't think you were planning for that.

I know, but ya never know. New events may pop up that adhere to U4 rules (as they might be the benchmark) Its not gonna be all that much more expensive in the long run. Big cost being of a new die.

Just use 1.75 like everybody else. Properly designed it'll be more then fine anyways.

I know, I just don't know what my rig is going to turn into in the coming years, Id like to keep this one for longer than my xjs lol.

I'm gonna make my frame tie ins shortly, bushings by the frame and they will bolt through my floor sandwiching it. also goign to tie in my rockers this way. going to have 4 points tied into the frame to start. Havent thought too much into the future past that.

Took the Dodge on the dyno this morning. The blonde chick working with the dyno crew wanted to run it. Layed down 250hp/520tq at the wheels which should put me pretty close to the 300/600 numbers at the crank I was hoping for.

What's stock?

Pretty sure it's a D60/D70. D60 is one of the weird vac disconnect axles though IIRC.

Buddy got the engine and tranny off it for 200, engine was rebuilt a month ago

the gayest 60 of all time (I sold mine for 70 bucks and thought I got a good price for it, worth 55 scrap) and probably a d60-1su w/ drum brakes or a d70 depending on options iirc. My 94 5.9 man trans 2500 donor had a d60-1su with drums, I sold it for like 80 bucks because I wanted it gone.

If you can wait I will keep my eye out for cheap 60s that don't blow dongs.
