That's why I refuse to weld mine no matter how many people tell me I should...
(and I found this at the junkyard a few weeks ago. 29 spline LSD with good condition clutches, hell yeah)

The other part of this is that I kinda want to be able to sell this axle when I'm done with it, an LSD probably adds a little value while a welded carrier really doesn't. If anything, I'd say it makes it worth less.
it came out of a pristine vehicle that looked like it spent its entire time at the mall so I suspect it may actually be good still.

I agree, welding an axle makes it way harder to sell. I had that welded 8.8 with 4.10's for sale for almost a year for $100, all set up for an XJ, and no one bought it.
Ken, what are you doing with that red MJ back half you got from Billy? We were talking this weekend and I was thinking of making a camping trailer out of it if you want to sell it.
I got the ZJ almost 100% ready for NACfest today, all that's left is to fix the threads on the shifter I accidentally bashed with a hammer, then throw the front tires on and load it up when I get T-pain's trailer. I haven't been excited to go up until today, and now that I'm doing the last minute prep shit I'm gettin' ****in' PUMPED KEHD.

atleast with a open carrier the buyer has the option of a locker, not sure what gears your running either

I'm theoretically turning it into a trailer for hauling parts/spare parts/camping gear/firewood. Not looking to sell it right now.
it's an 8.25, no carrier split, or it's down in the 2.72 range or so. I'm keeping the open carrier (and the bearings that were with it, properly paired with the races) in case I want to put it back in and do an aussie, so I could just put that back in if someone wants to buy it LSD-less.

Finished rewiring my trailer, all new lights and wires to the junction box. Ended up doing a new plug as well. I finally have running lights again!!! Trucks and jeep are pretty much ready, tent and air mattress are packed

Cleaned the coilovers today and started taking them apart. Also took the shifter out of Herman so I can send it out to get machined

ps Pat I'm planning to go to the registry tomorrow, I'll call ya after that and let you know it's all good for sure. If you can plan to come up here that'd be easiest since Scotty isn't sure if he'll be able to let me steal his truck or if he's doing side work.

Hope they cover my uncle's truck, it's rotting through in places it really shouldn't seeing as it's only like 12-13 years old. Supposedly the recall ended last year, he never got notified due to a move or he would have had it done, so now they're trying to get the dealer to honor it anyways.Found a stack of yota frames behind my local dealer.
