Id like to actually wheel though.
I had a chance to buy a truck with the 4500 I needed for $500. needed synchros though. Kinda wish I bought it now lol. Hoping for one of those to come along again.
Which sucks because thats where everyone is wheeling this summer lol.
I'm totally down for a mabell run once my truck moves again though.

Yeah I'm planning on it. I want to bring the Jeep, hopefully I can sign up before the 40 rig cutoff they mentioned. If not I'll just come watch you idiots break shit. UJ is headed up there July 19th, so if I don't make it for the 4th I'm not too worried.

Definitely. If I didn't have a few weeks downtime waiting for tube I could have had it done in a week for sure, but I didn't care about how it came out. As you know some of the "notches" aren't exactly the best, and my cuts for the chop were 100% eyeballed. But hey it works

i dig the tube work on yours, simple and functional, just gotta do somthing about whats left of the inner fenders up frtDefinitely. And yeah, for a diesel 4500 $800 seems pretty good. I ended up getting $600 for the gasser one I sold.

Chevy 4500s only or dodge ones too? Gasser or diesel if dodge? I'll keep my eye open, though I've only seen one so far.
Diesel ones... yeah I had so many sad cummins owners call me when I had one for sale. The guy who bought it asked if it was for a gasser or diesel and that he was putting it behind a cummins, I told him I didn't think it'd work since it came from a gas truck but he still wanted it... not my problem.
Why the hell do you need a harness for an AW4? The harness is fine from the factory.

Should have bought it, it was probably worth that in scrap, way more if parted out. And I bet you have all the tools to rebuild one at work, too... no idea what those special carbon fiber synchros cost new though.
