THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone got a open seat for the ride down to nac fest?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ha I recognize a lot of those spots.

I used to be big in to freeride MTB and used to ride at the top of South Campus- there were jumps up there that Matt Hoffman supposedly built, along with a ton of other cool shit in the old quarry.

I wish we still rode, I miss it. I'm hoping to start riding more whenever I move into the city, I always loved urban shit. Did you ever ride the Fenway jumps?

Girl 1: OMG I yesterday I totally realized ive been driving with my overdrive on. Like thats not good right?

Girl 2: No way. overdrive is kinda like 4wd, well not like it really but like it in that it totally ruins your fuel economy. I always drive with mine off.

Me: can I purchase this aspirin.

That girl was a genius.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Judging by the half ass welds on the 1-ton truck dump bed I just spent all day doing rust repair on, I should probably go into business building dump beds for trucks. I could swear that thing came out of the same plant that HF has their shit booger welded together in. Even my retard 100 amp fluxcore welds are stronger and prettier than their MIG welds...

Which company in Waltham Ken, and where in Waltham?
Terrafugia. They build flying cars and want an EE with a skillset that basically reads like a combination of what I know how to do, what I have already done, and what I really want to do. With my luck they'll hire someone else though. LOL

ken would be the tent hammock expert here
I don't have any tent hammocks, just a regular hammock, but if you want a tent one check out tentsile.

every time ken got into that hammock he has been drunk though. anything is awesome when you are drunk.
I think getting into a hammock might be more difficult for me sober than drunk now. Fortunately I doubt this will ever be a problem.

I thought Iphones were supposed to just "work"??
ohhhh snap

Got the tracking number for my shocks finally. Supposed to get them tomorrow. Just in time

Gotta do some cutting/welding on the passenger rear frame notch/plating and bend up some hoops for both rears. Blast out a few tabs and I should be in good shape.

Hopefully I can take Friday off and throw together the throttle bodies/oil cooler.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thinkin about picking up a tent hammock for my dads birthday. He wants to do some overnight hiking trips this year.

thoughts on this beast? price is right, reviews are great everywhere I look. REI and a buncha more camping oriented stores carry the same one too all with similar reviews.

Once they see the work you're done maintaining regular driving cars, you'll be a shoe in!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Maintaining and designing are two very different things :spin1:

(I maintain other people's vehicles pretty nicely, you should see what I did for rust repair on a Toyota yesterday!)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How cheap?

$1500 for a p-pumped motor and a 5spd tranny. Most other ones I see for sale are almost double that for just the engine. And they're VE pumps, p pump is way cooler, same pump as my dodge minus 2 cylinders

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

can I slap two of them together in a V and put it in herman?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

boring :(

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I haven't given up yet, but I still have a good amount of work to do. Not like I can work past 9 anyway since the family/neighbors get pissed off.

I don't even know if they ship my shocks full of nitrogen or not either. I don't remember.

I still have to bend up rear shock hoops, finish plating one side in the rear, make upper/lower shock tabs all around, make front limit strap mounts, rear bumpstop mounts, and finish weld/paint everything. Then throw my throttle bodies back on and bolt in the oil cooler, floors, and bellypan.
