I was just clueless. Bill had the correct reaction. I assumed it was something small and was ready to just keep wheeling.

Travis, sell your jeep I don't care. What I do care about is you fixing a Herman so we can have a bro down throw down!! There's a diesel meet in a couple of weeks in brockton, I may put my truck on the dyno to get a baseline before the twins. I'm hoping for close to 300hp and 600tq right now with my mods.

I put a good 100 miles on my XJ in the last few days...it's been starting right up, every time, within the first few cranks. Go to take it out last night and it starts up again perfectly, then I make it 4 feet down my driveway and it shuts off. No sputter, just out & done. Cranks but no start again.

I think I'll just let it sit in time out for another day or so. :laugh:

I just poured the most evil looking shit out of an AX5 I replaced for someone a few weeks ago.

It's... streaked, dark brown, black, and tan. And chunky. And leaves opaque stains on the sides of the bucket. I'm not sure if it's more oil, mud, or roller bearing fragments by volume.

I'm not sure why but he thought going mudding (with a transmission that was already acting up) and then not changing the tranny lube for 4 YEARS was a good idea. And then he spent $650 for a new one to put in it.

Anyone not using their trailer for NACfest? Travis..? I looked into one from U-Haul and it's almost $300 for the trip, which IMO isn't worth it. I'll throw whomever let's me borrow it some $$$ and pay for anything that might happen while I had it.
